The Maine Thunder Spirits, kid’s taiko ensemble perform as featured entertainment for corporate events, weddings, multi cultural events, festivals, private parties or bringing parades to life with our award winning float , huge drums, 10 foot tall Lions, and 50 foot long illuminous Dragons . If you are an event planner in New England booking entertainment, the Taiko drums of The Maine Thunder Spirits Taiko ensemble, are available in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, Maine, and Connecticut .
Aside from just performing this taiko group are a team of young martial artist, made up of kids between the ages of 9 - 17, who are also available to positive peer mentor your students during seminars and residencies. The beauty of this club is their ages they are not just another adult taiko group lecturing much younger students. They are a group of dynamic young people who are experienced not only in performing but in peer mentoring, they can relate to your students in a way adult groups cannot and they are a shining example of the power of team building and teamwork.The truth is children learn from children to gain a cool factor and it’s not just taiko they can teach/perform, they can bring a dancing dragon and Chinese lions to your New England school to aid in teaching cultural diversity, they are a special treat during Chinese New Year. This group of kids performs at the highest level in all areas. "New England's premier kids Taiko club ”THE MAINE THUNDER SPIRITS" are all members of Professor Frank Ricardo’s Courageous Kids Club and are focused, hard working, disciplined children ages 9-17. They are drumming up a multi cultural storm of performing arts through out New England at grammar, middle, high schools, and colleges. What better way to encourage your students and children than with our high powered shows combined with Positive Peer mentoring residencies. Our Courageous Kids club Teaches hands on Taiko drumming Lion and Dragon Dancing to your students building self esteem and team work during residencies.
